In PSYCH-K, balances are a series of postures that enable the increased
communication between the two brain hemispheres, thereby achieving a more
whole-brained state.
The whole-brain state is ideal for changing subconscious beliefs and for
maximizing your full ability to respond to life's challenges. Although our natural
ability is to operate in a whole-brain state, life experiences often trigger a
dominance of one side over the other when responding to specific situations. The
more traumatic an experience is, the more likely you stored that experience with
a dominance of one hemisphere over the other. When you face a similar
situation, you automatically overidentify with only one hemisphere of the brain.
After a limiting belief is pinpointed and a new belief is created, permission to
change the limiting belief is asked for, with the use of muscle testing, and if
"safe and appropriate", the balance is performed. Permission is an important
feature in PSYCH-K. Sometimes a problem is actually disguised as a life lessson
or the problem is actually a solution to a much greater issue.
The appropriate balance is also decided on with use of muscle testing. Your subconscious mind knows the quickest and easiest way to eliminate limiting
beliefs and PSYCH-K uses that knowledge. Once the balance is performed, the
new belief is tested for a "strong" response and the limiting belief is tested for a "weak" response. And, then it's time to celebrate!
